Caitlin Ritchie

Co-Founder and Artistic Director

Co-Founder and Artistic Director

Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Creative Edge Dance Academy, LLC.  Caitlin was a competitive studio dancer as well as high school and college team dancer. She has been working in the field for over 15 years. Caitlin worked at a gymnastics and cheerleading facility in and started up a competitive dance program there.   Her unique choreography is sought after in Northern New Jersey and as far as southern California.  She is the 2018 and 2021 Choreographer of the Year from Imagine Dance Challenge! Her choreography has been nominated for over 15 Industry Dance Awards and was a finalist at the IDA in Hollywood in 2019. She has also won the Entertainment of the Year Award from the Star Dance Alliance in 2019. Her students were sought after by America’s Got Talent before COVID hit and were showcased in commercial shoots for NBC. As a former head tumbling coach at a cheer gym, she is USASF and USAG certified. She is also PBT certified with the Progressing Ballet Technique program.  She has been working with many high school and college dance teams on their technical ability levels. Caitlin is a judge for NJ state and locally run dance competitions and high school and collegiate audition processes.  At CEDA, she challenges the students to not only learn proper technique but to embrace their own artistic abilities. She teaches all age groups and enjoys working with all of her students.  She is a New Jersey certified elementary school teacher.  Working with children is Caitlin’s passion.  She uses her knowledge in teaching elementary school to help her become a better dance instructor and bring out the best in all of her students.  Caitlin prides herself in teaching students the proper technique of dance while helping them achieve fitness, grace, discipline, and confidence.  We don't just train dancers here, we are creating young men and women to become the best version of themselves.

 
 
 

Amanda Boyer

Ballet / Contemporary Company Instructor

Amanda Boyer is a Philadelphia/NYC based movement artist, educator, and choreographer. Growing up in Southeastern PA, she developed an overall love for dance and the arts, with a special interest in contemporary and modern forms. In addition to performing, Amanda shares her passion by teaching students aged 3-18, and mentoring young artists at the University of the Arts. She is passionate, patient, dependable and professional, with a warm, people-oriented approach.

 
 
 

Jada Oddo

PreK and Company Instructor

Jada Oddo has been dancing for 17 years and dancing competitively for over 10 years.  She is a proud alumni of Creative Edge Dance Academy where she started assisting classes at age 13.  She has been at Creative Edge since Day 1! Jada has been an assistant choreographer to Caitlin for 6 years and has traveled the East Coast with her to teach.  She received the highest  Technique score at many competitions and has received First Place Overall for her self choreographed solos, duets, and group dances on many occasions as well. While she always placed Top 10 at regional and national events, she also took part in some of Creative Edge’s most iconic routines such as: Oz, NASA, Electric Parade, Assassins, Gladiator, And 1, Here We Are, Battlefield, and many more! Jada was a part of the group which was asked to audition and filmed for America’s Got Talent in 2020 and 2023.  Jada just recently completed a Summer Scholarship program at the Joffrey Ballet school where she was highlighted in 4 pieces.  She has been thoroughly trained in all styles of dance.  She has enjoyed nurturing her dancers by teaching them to have fun while learning all dance has to offer! She is excited to continue to share her passion with her students at CEDA! This year she began competitive choreography and won countless Choreography awards as well as brought her students to many overall high scoring championships! She is excited to continue working with these students and sharing her passion for dance!

 
 

Alyssa Patunas

Acrobatic Instructor

Alyssa has been dancing and cheering her whole life. Graduating from Felician College with a teaching degree, Alyssa’s love for children and their growth is shown through her work. She has always had a passionate and positive attitude that helps encourage her students and teammates to give it their all. She has been coaching cheerleading for years and teaching tumbling along the way. Alyssa started at Creative Edge since day 1 and was a part of our competitive dance company for many years helping the team win many overall high scoring championships! She is excited to push the next generation of CEDA dancers and tumblers to the next level.

 
 
 
 

Destiny Tamayo

Destiny is a graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University with honors. She is a veteran dancer of Creative Edge Dance Academy where she was a part of our competitive program for many years. Destiny started at Creative Edge since day 1! She has been dancing since she was 2 years old in all styles. She also grew up as an Allstar cheerleader. Destiny loves working with children and helping guide them in a nurturing and fun loving environment. She is excited to join the Creative Edge staff and continue to spread her passion for dance and acrobatics to the next generation.

 
 
 

Caitlin Parrish

 

Ballet / Contemporary Intermediate and Advanced Teacher

Caitlin Parrish is a multi-faceted artist and educator who embarked on her performance and choreographic education in Wilmington, North Carolina at age two. She trained in competitive dance from ages three to eighteen at Fox Troupe Dancers and Impulse Dance Project, where she trained in many dance modalities. Parrish also choreographed and taught at several studios in the Wilmington area. Throughout her training, she attended NYCDA Summer Intensive and The Dance Sessions. Parrish is a May 2023 graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a BFA in Dance and minor in Photography. During those four years, Parrish performed and collaborated in works with Paul Matteson, Mark Caserta, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Jordan Lloyd, and Curt Haworth.

 
 
 

Julianne DiCostanzo

Instructor

Julianne DiCostanzo grew up in Emerson, New Jersey and began her dance training at the early age of two. She had extensive training in various dance styles as both a competitive studio dancer and a ballet school student. She graduated from Point Park University with her BFA in Dance in the spring of 2022, where she also had the opportunity to choreograph her first piece titled, Can’t Smile Without You, on her fellow dance majors for one of the conservatory’s shows. Since graduating college, Julianne has been teaching dance at Creative Edge and continuing her own growth as a dancer in classes at Steps on Broadway in New York City. She has been fortunate to work with artists such as Al Blackstone, Rocker Verastique, Debbie Roshe, Stephanie Pope, and many more in the classroom setting as well as the choreographic process. She recently spent a month training with The Verdon Fosse Legacy in New York City, learning Fosse technique and repertoire from artists that had worked closely with Bob Fosse. Julianne can’t wait to continue sharing her love of dance with her students!  

 
 

Kevin Masbang

Hip Hop Instructor

Kevin Masbang has been practicing the art of dance for the past eleven years. He started training in hip hop, tap, and musical theatre at Broadway Performing Arts Center in Bloomfield, N.J. His competitive career began with the Paramus Catholic Dance Team, where he was able to showcase his talents and strengths for all four years of high school. His efforts have proven to help Paramus Catholic’s dance team win several national dance competitions. It was during this time period where he realized that competitive dance was an integral part of his life. He was able to utilize these leadership skills when Caitlin Ritchie, artistic director of CEDA, took him under her wing. He joined Creative Edge Dance Academy in 2019 as a student and teacher to further continue his dance education. Kevin has been in multiple acclaimed routines such as Gladiator, And 1, and NASA! His post-high school career consisted of a new endeavor that involved majoring in Industrial Design at New Jersey Institute of Technology while still actively competing with CEDA’s elite company. Besides being a skilled dancer Kevin has also designed and constructed multiple costumes for competition and produced music mixes for many dances. He is very excited to continue his journey with Creative Edge as a mentor!

 

Kierstyn Moran

Instructor

Kierstyn has extensive training in dance both competitively and performance for 26 years in all styles (Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Ballet, and Contemporary/Modern), as well as competitive and varsity cheerleading. As a competitive dancer she was an award-winning tap soloist and part of the United States Dance Team. Along with dance she has musical theater experience performing in New York City and background work in primetime and cable TV. Notable performances: Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Waterpark, Jersey Tap Fest, West Side Story- Asst. Choreographer (Connelly Theater NYC), Broadway Workshop (Rachelle Rak), Danceworks (Hofstra University), Magic Music Days (Disney Springs), NY Liberty Half Time (Madison Square Garden), Cabaret Singer (Joe’s Pub, The Duplex), DCC: Making the Team (Audition tape), Blue Bloods, and Law and Order: SVU. Being a dance, fitness, and nutrition professional, she has certifications with: ACE fitness, AED/CPR/First Aid, and Acrobatic Arts PreSchool. Using her performance and fitness background she instills a 360-teaching approach: focusing not just on dance, but performance, expression, and proper alignment for safety. Her passion is to teach, inspire others to feel and be their best, and to spread the love and technique of dance to her students. She’s excited and looking forward to starting her first year with CEDA! 

 
 

Brittany Pontuti

 

Happy Feet, PreK, and Beginner Class Instructor

Brittany started dancing at the age of 3 and has been teaching for over 16 years in Ohio, South Carolina, and now New Jersey. In December of 2013, Brittany graduated with honors from Kent State University with dual degrees of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. She also received a teaching certificate, Pre- K-12th Grade, qualifying her to teach Dance Education in Schools. She has studied under Kristen Messner, Jen Naso, Kathie Nejman, and Dee Hiller. Brittany is also accomplished in the areas of tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, character jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, ballet and acro. During her years of dancing and teaching at Dance Dimensions, she competed on the jazz, tap, and acro companies earning 3 straight Ohio State Tap Dance Championships. Brittany was also selected as an All-American Cheerleader for four consecutive years and has coached and hosted various cheer camps. To increase her education in the art of Dance, Brittany has traveled across the country to both train with professionals as a dancer and attend teacher-based workshops. Trips include, DanceLife, Broadway Dance Center, Pulse Teachers Convention, American College Dance Festival Association Conferences, and the Rockette Summer Intensive. Brittany has traveled internationally with her own competitive dance teams and has received numerous choreography and judges awards. She looks forward to sharing her love of dance in her new home of New Jersey!
